Dwight and (Candace) Candy Butner: Dwight- I was born and raised in Burnsville and was first introduced to this area when my Mom and Stepfather purchased a second home in Land Harbor. When it came time to retire, I wanted to live here. Fortunately, my wife went along with me. Prior to moving here full-time, I spent most of my adult life in Asheville. jokingly say that I spent 49 years trying to get out of the restaurant business. My most famous restaurant was Vincenzo’s Ristorante and Bistro located on North Market St. in downtown Asheville. I’m currently writing a book detailing my experiences in the restaurant business. My pastimes include golf, pickleball, camping, and duplicate bridge. Candy and I feel we have found a church home at Crossnore Presbyterian. This email address is being protected from spambots. Emily (Emmy) Zobel: I have been a full-time resident of Linville Land Harbor since 2013 when my hus-band, Ralph, and I retired. Before that we had worked and raised our family in Charlotte. We grew to love the mountains when our children were students at ASU. Ralph passed away in 2015 and I decided to stay in our mountain home.
