Note from Pastor Kathy:
I have just returned from my 10-day annual Spring trip to visit some of the members of our church family who live in Florida. Due to a much shorter trip, I was not able to see everyone but I still visited with over 40 of our members. Their gracious hospitality treated me to every meal and I stayed in homes every night. It was a delight to share in their lives and their communities and the weather was perfect! My 2,223 miles of travel took me to Fort Myers, Venice, Tampa, Bartow, Orlando, Maitland, Ocala, Fruitland, Clermont, Windermere, Jensen Beach, and New Smyrna Beach. Due to a generous check from one of the members, the entire trip cost was paid for. I want to thank Ashlyn DeWitt, our Administrative Assistant, for holding down the fort while I was gone and Rev. Maggie Lauterer and Pastor Jim Taylor for filling the pulpit in my absence. It is good to be back!

Daniel Coffey, our church seminary intern, was awarded the 2025 Union Seminary McLaughlin Rural Church Award for outstanding potential for small rural faith communities. Congratulations Daniel!

Our roof project is moving forward. The roof tiles have been delivered! There will be workers in the sanctuary to label wiring used for our sound system so that it can be reconnected properly later and to remove any un-needed wire.

The Craft Group welcomes all who want to work on a craft or just share in fellowship to join in on Wednesdays, 1-3 p.m., in the fellowship hall.

Five Week Lenten Bible Study continues this Wednesday, April 9, 3- 4:30 p.m. Daniel Coffey, our seminary intern, will lead this study on Meeting Jesus at the Table A Lenten Study by Cynthia Campbell and Christine Fohr. The participants will dive into chapters 6 and 7: This eight-chapter resource provides biblical insights and provoking queries regarding our own time, such as who should invite to Sunday dinner and who is left out and left behind in our culture today. Illustrations by artist Kevin Burns complement each chapter and invite further meditation on the Gospel story and its meaning for our lives. Feel free to join us any Wednesday afternoon with or without the book.

In lieu of an April potluck luncheon, we will have an Easter brunch before worship on Easter Sunday. Plan to bring a breakfast casserole, fruit salad, or other breakfast/brunch foods to share.
