We ordained and installed our Elders for the Class of 2027 during Worship on this past Sunday, April 27, 2025. Marie Cook was installed. Cheryl Lewis and Lynn O’Meara were ordained and installed. Congratulations to our new elders.

The Craft Group welcomes all who want to work on a craft or just share in fellowship to join in on Wednesdays, 1-3 p.m., in the fellowship hall.

A new Bible study will begin in June. More information will be coming.

The Women’s Gathering at Charlotte Davila’s home this past Thursday was a great time of food and fellowship- sharing goodies, stories, and lots of laughter. Thank you, Charlotte!

The Fellowship committee is asking for donations of regular coffee and cookies for fellowship time after worship. It is the time of year when our numbers swell. We would love to have some gluten free options also, so bring your favorite goodies and leave them in the kitchen.

Our church grounds look beautiful after the hard work last Saturday morning from the volunteers who did all the mulching. Thanks to the volunteers and John Kehoe who organized the workday.

Our Sanctuary Roof Project is moving forward [Read More]. The roof tiles have been delivered! Scaffolding has been installed and some of the pews have been moved but worship continues in the sanctuary. George Riggsbee has created a display of the beautiful new roof files in the upper parking lot near the back door entrance. Take a look! We are now raising the final $100,000 for the roof project; the cost of supplies has greatly increased due to Hurricane Helene. If you did not receive a capital campaign letter, please call the church office (828-733-1939) and we will send you a copy.

Below is an update on the CPC Crossnore Children’s Fund - Crossnore Elementary School for the Quarter ending March 31, 2025. We continue to accept donations to this fund. The interest is distributed through an annual grant to the school and the principle continues to be invested. Currently the school is considering using this year’s monies for a summer school tutor.
