A new Bible study will begin on Wednesday, June 11, 3-4 p.m. We will be sharing in the practice of Lectio Divina, an ancient way of immersing ourselves in the biblical stories and passages. This process allows for a deeper understanding of scripture and how it relates to our lives today. This study will go through July 2. Everyone is invited to participate.

The Craft Group welcomes all who want to work on a craft or just share in fellowship to join in on Wednesdays, 1-3 p.m., in the fellowship hall.

The Church Choir meets for practice on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. If you enjoy singing, please consider being part of the choir.

A Big Thank You to Jonathan, Liam, and Luke McKenzie and John Kehoe for digging out the huge trunk and root system of the ancient tree that fell in the memorial garden during Hurricane Helene. John has replaced the soil and the garden will be ready for planting this summer.

Thank you to Cheryl Lewis and the Congregational Fellowship committee for organizing, setting up and cleaning up for the May potluck last Sunday. Also thanks to all those who brought the wonderful food to share.

We are in need of folks to volunteer to host coffee hour- please talk to Cheryl Lewis about signing up!

The CPC Hurricane Relief and Recovery Fund total income = $146,730.62; total expenses = $101,620.23; Balance = $45,110.39. Thanks to everyone who has contributed in funds and volunteer support. Covenant Presbyterian Church is extending Bobbie Willard’s position as the CPC hurricane relief/recovery projects coordinator for three more months and are still sending us 50% on every dollar we spend from our balance. What a great blessing! It has been over seven months since Hurricane Helene devastated our mountain communities- much has been accomplished with more yet to do.

The 2025 CPC Summer Series of Speakers and Music will begin on Tuesday, June 10, 7 p.m., in the sanctuary. The series schedule is attached. This summer series promises to be inspiring and informative! More information about each event is coming soon.
