Crossnore Presbyterian's Mission Work
In order to fulfill Christ’s call to reach out in love to both the local community and the world, Crossnore Presbyterian Church is actively involved in a number of ministries, including 17 local partnerships with organizations like
- Volunteer Avery County
- Reaching Avery Ministry
- Feeding Avery Families
- New Opportunity School for Women
- WAMY
- Mountain Alliance
- OASIS
- Crossnore Elementary School and Crossnore Communities for Children.
In addition to local mission projects, like collecting funds to cover heating costs for the elderly and providing Thanksgiving meal baskets and regular food donations for needy people and their pets, Crossnore Presbyterian is connected with other churches to provide help to those in need across the state, from Charlotte to Wilmington.
In addition to local mission projects, our congregation collects funds to help provide winter heat for the elderly, medicine, rent, gas money, school supplies, and daycare. We also deliver Thanksgiving baskets and collect monthly food donations for people and their pets along with Daily Change, which goes to hunger grants locally and globally.
Crossnore Presbyterian Church enjoys a partnership with Libano Presbyterian Church in Los Cerros, Guatemala, by providing educational scholarships for 30 students of all ages along with emergency food donations.
