Pastor Kathy Campbel At a Covered Dish Meal

The Rev. Kathy Campbell has served at Crossnore Presbyterian Church since 2009 and loves being a small church pastor.

Before coming to Crossnore, Kathy served in campus ministry at six colleges/universities in North Carolina and Virginia in addition to being a solo pastor, co-pastor, and interim pastor. A native of Omaha, Nebraska, she received her B.A. in History and Political Science from Warren Wilson College and her M.Div. from the Divinity School of Duke University.

Rev. Campbell is married to Dr. Karl Campbell, Associate Professor of History, at Appalachian State University, and they are proud parents of Joanna Campbell, who has obtained her Ph.D. program in Chemistry at Duke University.

 

Maggie Lauterer


Maggie Lauterer Oversees a few services on a regular basis

The Reverend Maggie Lauterer is often referred to by some, as "The Singing Pastor".  She grew up in Crossnore, NC attending our church as a child.  She became an ordained pastor and had served several congregations before honorably retiring in 2017. Maggie has returned to her childhood church and is actively involved in assisting with preaching, worship, music, and Bible study leadership.
